and, I'm down with that. Our away games got delayed due to the soaring temps. We were allowed to play once it lowered to 95 degrees. Our JV game ended due to darkness around 8:15. We won!!!! Is it lame that this makes me truly happy and ignites me? I love it when the girls work together, talk, stay spread out, and listen to us. Once again, my voice is raspy. My principal says it means I'm doing a good job because I'm coaching. I hope she's ok with the fact that I may not be able to talk to my 3rd graders tomorrow.
I'm finding pure joy, contentment, and happiness is getting to know these girls. Tomorrow marks a month that I've been spending time with these 40 girls daily. Sure, I've made life changes to make it work. As in, I have absolutely 'no' me time. But, it's not a sacrifice it's a privilege.
Moral of the Story: Nothing beats looking back from the front seat of the bus to 40 + girls singing Miley Cyrus 'Party in the USA' with their arms up. Remember the days when life was so innocent?
