So, our game was cancelled until Thursday. I'm free at 5. What do I do? No, I don't go home and do work.
I finish out varsity practice and play with them. Grab dinner and my dress for this weekend. And, head back to the JV game to hang out with Dad in the press box, Worth on the field, and friends from school and Relay.
Now, it's 10:00...I have lesson plans to do for Friday, loose ends to tie up for a Play for the Cure game on Wednesday, and a speech to finish.
So, why is it that when you actually get free time you choose to not tackle the to-do list?
Perhaps, it's because I love these other people and have learned over the past year that the 'to-do' list will always be present, but these opportunities to hang out with others on a Monday night won't always be present.
So, now back to those lesson plans for Friday.
Moral of the Story: Now is the only time there is. Make your now wow, your minutes miracles, and your
days pay. Your life will have been magnificently lived and invested, and when you die
you will have made a difference.
