Needless-to-say, tonight I pulled a kid off the field to redirect her play. Put her in a minute later. She scored a goal.
There was nothing better than watching her go from frustration to tears to reception of my advice to understanding to doing it to running over to me with the biggest grin ever.
She did it!
Moral of the Story: Life is not a spectator sport, let's play.
One of my biggest fears is that by the time my girls get to HS that the schools will be so big (and so competitive), that there won't be a chance for them to participate in HS sports. And I want for them exactly what you just described. And I want them to have coaches EXACTLY like you.
