Christmas Magic at School

I was awake with excitement at 4:56 AM. I hit the gym. Left 15 minutes early, just because I wanted to sneak gifts to people before they got there.

(I sometimes thinks their nothing more pleasant than a surprise on your desk or your front porch.)

The F-U-N began and didn't stop rolling until those kiddos pulled away and we waved them goodbye as they waved back (some never looked back).

Momma and Daddy hosted a Holiday Breakfast
for my class. Complete with Chik-n-minis
and 2 sausage biscuits for my peanut
allergy students. Dad's not sneaking here.
Daddy read a book. They listened to my
students' Winter Holiday presentations. Then,
they answered questions.
Every Smart Cookies got a stocking
stuffed with school supplies, a Relay
Cup, and oranges because my Pop
Pop always did that for us.
A surprise from a guy friend through
inter-school mail. He wore them at the
tacky Relay meeting. The note says, 'I
washed them, I promise.' Loved it!

Very excited about this gift.

Preparing for the Santa Firedrill. It was raining
outside. I was beyond excited for this. All 600
of us made a lap around the school. We were the
caboose. We wove through the school and
sang our holiday choir songs all together
as we walked. Then, we walked by Mrs. Claus,
visited the fire trucks, and then saw SANTA!
Fire truck for our fake fire drill.

After delivering some more presents, I came
home to a surprise package from my NC friend!
Moral of the Story: It was a magical day. These are the days I remember from when I was at this school. I can only hope we create those for these kiddos. Saying, Merry Christmas never gets old.

Know that my butt has vascillated between cleaning, purging trash, video chatting, and sitting on the couch. Christmas magic can wear one out.
