A friend just posted an article from some source with Wall Street in the name.
They listed the top 10 miserables states along with the top 10 happiest states.
Hawaii was the happiest. I forget the most miserable but Delaware and Ohio were on it.
So, VA is neither miserable nor happy.
VA is a melting pot.
It has a little bit of everything.
Restaurants and banks.
NOVA at one spectrum. Southwest VA at the other.
City life. Country life.
Big universities, small liberal arts schools.
Evergreen tree and deciduous trees.
Rich in history: birthplace of 7 presidents, Jamestown, battlefields, Williamsburg...
Vineyards.
Seasonal weather.
Appalachain Trail.
Atlantic Ocean.
The list goes on.
Moral of the Story: I'm def not miserable in VA.
