1) The school weeks are flying.
2) The weather has been beautiful.
3) I've been able to spend quality time with friends and family.
4) Relay For Life is next weekend! Pray for great weather (the last 2 years I've not enjoyed orchestrating the evacuations of 1,000s of people)! Everything is coming together. My school's team collected 'Change for a Cure'. My kiddies filled their bookbags (no baggies) with change. I'm an expert at picking pennies out of tiny places. Ms. Richardson's Smart Cookies raised over $15! This week we're 'Walking Over a Teacher.' Kids can buy a paper foot and 'Walk Over a Teacher.' A 4th Grader yelled at me today that she is planning on "stomping on me." Does that mean she likes me or doesn't?
5) I've been treating my body well. I've 'treated' (to steal a word from T) my body to early AM exercise this week and healthy food. It feels really good.
6) I divulged in a People this afternoon in the hammock.
7) I've had loads of Relay stuff to do. But, it never seems like work. And, it especially doesn't seem like work when I do it outside!
Moral of the Story: I have always thought May is an amazing month. Even, when I was little it included tons of 'end-of- fill in the blank' parties. Here's to May: a wedding, Teacher Appreciation week, tax returns, 2 NASCAR races, Relay For Life, a triathlon, graduation, SOLs, the end of SOLs, beautiful weather, and Memorial Day weekend!
