Fork in the Road

Well, I have arrived at one of those pivotal moments of my life...a fork in the road. Which way will I go?

I have set myself up for 2 pathways into the future.

The road to the left, leads to staying in Culpeper and teaching 3rd grade, leading a Young Life group, coaching field hockey, and remaining with Relay For Life.

The road to the right, leads to Raleigh, NC and teaching there, transferring my Relay status, and who knows what.

The road to the left has been constructed and finalized as I accepted the coaching position today. The road to the right is still under construction with an interview in Raleigh on Monday.

Granted I may not even receive a job offer from Raleigh, but at least I'll know I tried. As for Culpeper, I know I set myself up for these opportunities.

I love being in Cville at this time with the Williams because I don't have to stare at the fork in the road sign and the girls are enjoying childhood.

The magic of this moment of my life is that I am at peace. I know, without waver, that my Father in Heaven will set my path's straight and lead me down the road he wants me to be on. I am happy to travel either way. Either road I take, I will continue to try to live out Ghandi's saying "be the change you wish to see in the world."

Through prayer and discernment, I will know which direction to go.

Moral of the Story:
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

  1. Another favorite... Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. (Psalm 9:10)

    Can't wait to follow along with you whichever path you take!
