Last week seems like forever ago (I was still getting nicely dressed in the morning and was called Ms. Richardson). How many times do you think that? or hear that? or say that?
I spent Saturday and Sunday in Reston and DC with Les. We did the DC Olympic Triathlon (1.5K Swim, 40K Bike, 10K Run). It is huge-3,000 athletes coupled with an intense atmosphere. Rather than being a tourist, my perspective of DC was changed to be one with the city. Great experience.

I drew # 2323 written all over my body and my age 23 on my calf...ironic?
On Sunday after the race, Momma and I headed to Raleigh. Granted it took 6 hours (due to some GPS misnavigation, not mine of course), it was a great ride since we ate at Bojangle's. Yum. It was a triumph for Momma as she realized she could "easily" drive 29 to Danville. Driving for hours after doing a 3 hour race after waking up at 3 AM = Great experience.
On Monday, I had the interview. We explored some different communities around Raleigh. Thank you Google on Fuji Braeburn, Blacktwig the iPhone, and T Squared the TomTom for that. How did we do things before technology? The interview went fine and dandy. But, I did realize I do not want to uproot and move my life if it's not for a position that I want/love or is a vertical movement in my career. Monday capped with H and I having a typical trip to Panera and Target. Who doesn't love a trip to Target to browse? Monday was a great experience.
Tuesday officially brought Summer. It's was fully on with the girls and all the goodness that brings. Married Kat and I had a pleasant walk and talk that only the solace of great friends can bring. Great experience.
Over the past few days, my roles and responsibilities changed from day-t0-day and even hour-to-hour. A teacher. A tourist. A friend. A triathlete. A daughter. A professional. A seeker. A nanny/babysitter combo. A bunker (at the T & D Bed and Breakfast). Life is about change and going with the flow as I have found. I had so many new experiences the past few days. They were exciting, not exciting, draining, inspiring, comforting, intriguing, stepping outside my box, grown-up, kid-like, and fun. Just the way I like it.
