Schools out for...


By 8:30, my huge end of the year checklist had been turned in and my room was being cleared out. I had the Today show on in my classroom and was gchatting Christina.

I always say that when I hear the intro music to the Today show every morning, from the changing room at the gym, that I know that everything is ok in the world. Another day has ended. Another day is beginning. So, I found it ironic to be watching the Today show from my classroom. Everything is ok in the world and I made it through my first year of teaching. (Ellen's family gave me an engraved bracelet like Meredith Vierra for my graduation gift from UVA...aka-I love Meredith, Matt, Ann, and Al)

We had a staff luncheon. Then, I headed home to do what?

I did 2 things I never do. I looked up old episodes of Bug Juice on Youtube and napped (made it 30 minutes). All with my wicked good moccasins on. It was heavenly, especially since it was thunderstorming.
