Weddings...
I created on my iCal the color red for Weddings. Facebook is saturated with weddings pics (we all know we've checked them out).
Saturday AM-I got Jenna's dressed measured or lack there of (which is weird) for alterations.
Saturday PM-was spent at the beautiful, hot outside wedding of Kristen, my teacher mentor/friend.
Sunday AM-I met Steph and Jim at Bodo's. Topic of conversation: their upcoming wedding.
Sunday afternoon-Ellen and I discussed 'lodging' arrangements for Raeanne's wedding in July.
Sunday PM-went hiking with the newlyweds Kat & Lee.
Moral of the Story: "I don't like to be labeled lonely just because I am alone."-Delta Burke
I feel far from lonely. I sometimes have to force myself to slow down and press pause. Admittedly, I stink at it. I had a goal of forcing myself to stay on the couch today during the storms and watch tv. Thankfully, Ellen interrupted the last 30 minutes with a video chat. But, there is truth in Delta's quote. Ponder it.
Being alone is a far cry from being lonely. I LOVE alone time. Cherish it. I always have, but even more so now with kids.
ReplyDeleteThe wedding craziness calms down. At least for a few years, then it picks back up in full force.
