I'm determined not to be afraid of anything.
Well, I had a run in with...drumroll...the automatic car wash about 8 months ago. The Blizzard was over and Blizzard, the car, needed a bath.
While I was enjoying the automatic car wash, Blizzard started to move and I didn't like it. Blizzard was moving, and I was firmly pressing the brake. It was freaky. I know I wasn't hallucinating because I stared at a reference point. Blizzard was being bullied by the big swirling brushes.
Ironically and fortunately, the next month was my birthday. So, Blizzard got a new tail called a bike rack. Hmm, there goes baths in the automatic car wash.
7 months later, today, I pulled Blizzard up to his enemy. Determined to conquer the automatic car wash. With confidence, I swiped my card and paid for the big kahuna, master bath.
In we went, to do battle, against the big swirling brushes. This time, I made sure Blizzard was in park and the emergency brake was on.
Blizzard, and more importantly I, survived and pulled out unscathed with a new since of confidence that I'm not insane or full of hallucinations. Blizzard, nor I, will be bullied...especially by automatic car washes. Thank goodness we have overcome this hurdle...I do not like racing the quarter, car wash machine.
Moral of the Story: Facing fear is to live...facing even the 'littlest' of fears is a triumph. Blizzard and I have conquered automatic car washes!
