Today was a day I can only describe as 'marvelous'...no, nothing truly important happened. And, some of the most simplest days can be the most marvelous days.
I had the day off and had basically kept this day iCal-free (aka~nothing planned). I did things I wanted to do.
Non-important things I did today:
- spinning class with Only Kat
- heard the first 15 mins of the Today show
- painted my toenails
- beeswaxed my Danskos
- got my expired for over a year credit card replaced
- sent off some important mail
- talked to friends
- found myself for two hours in comfy black pants, moccassins, dark chocolate, and hot apple juice surrounded by magazines piled up from the past few months
- savored text messages of T's baked goods
- walked for an hour on the treadmills with Only Kat to Oprah AND Garth Brooks
- dinner at Pete's
- a night at my Aunt's just shooting the breeze
Moral of the Story: While these things may be non-important to the person looking into my life, these times are extremely important to the person living the life.
